Mr. Joe E. Stephenson, age 74, of Newport died Monday, June 15, 2009.
He is survived by three sons, Duyane Stephenson and Joe Stephenson of California and Mark Peel of Newport; two sisters, Melonie S. Black of Kentucky and Stephanie Stephenson of California; one brother, Norris Stephenson of Newport; three sisters, Gazetta Coburn Lee, Henrie White and Lucille Dillinghem of Newport; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Greater Morning Star. Interment will follow in New Hope in Tuckerman. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, from 5-6 p.m. for the family and 6-7 p.m. for the public.
