On Friday, April 29th, many Newport Basketball Alumni showed up to participate in the first basketball alumni game. The event was hosted by R.E.S.T.O.R.E., an organization founded by NHS Alumni Kendra Pruitt. The organization acronym stands for Reaching and Empowering Students To Overcome Restraints and Excel. The organizations strives to positively impact communities. One of the many goals of the organization is community outreach. This was witnessed on Friday night as many turned out for the festivities and a good time was had by all!

The evening began with the Lady Hound Alumni taking the floor. The women were coached by former coaches Bill Osier, Stan McKee, and Jason Hughes. The men were coached by Leighton McCrary and Bill Osier. All four teams played hard and enhanced the spirit of the event.
