What a difference one week can make! The Greyhounds travelled to Corning on Friday, October 13th to take on the Corning Bobcats. The Greyhounds defeated the Bobcats 64-0. It seemed everything that went wrong last week against Piggott was executed wonderfully against Corning.
    Each quarter of play resembled the last. The Greyhounds scored quickly and the momentum never changed. The Hounds put up 28 points the first quarter. Two more touchdowns were added in the second quarter, which made the score 42-0 at halftime. The Hounds returned to the field for the third quarter and added another touchdown to the score. Seemingly unstoppable, the Hounds were executing offensively and playing lights out defense all night. Little mattered as far as personnel, because each Greyhound did their job! The Hounds scored another 15 points in the fourth quarter to end the game 64-0.
    Offensively, the Hounds rushed 23 times for 428 yards. Rushing leaders include # 44 Joe Broadus with 141 yards in seven rushes and three touchdowns, # 4 Monquell Cox with 131 yards in 4 rushes and two touchdowns, # 2 Tariq Richardson accumulated 95 yards in one run for a touchdown, # 1 Mitchell Thomas had 37 yards in two rushes and # 22 Zack Cooper ran the ball three times for a total of 18 yards.  Quarterback Cash Forrester was 3 for 4 in passing for 86 yards and two touchdowns.  Receiving leaders include # 8 Garrett Body with two receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown and # 21 Julius Clark with a single reception for 29 yards and one touchdown. Kickoff Return leaders included # 4 Cox for 13 yards on one return.
    Defensively, the Hounds accounted for 46 tackles and three sacks.  Leaders include the “Bash Brothers” # 32 Julius Pruitt made nine tackles and a sack and older brother # 24 Oshae Pruitt made eight tackles with two sacks. Others include # 18 Alberto Garcia and # 21 Julius Clark with four tackles each, # 51 Zane Watkins with three tackles and # 31 Clemmie Alcorn, # 8 Garrett Body, # 1 Mitchell Thomas, # 3 James Dixson and # 50 Alex Emery with two tackles each.
    To date this season the Hounds have 2310 total offensive yards. Offensive leaders are Cox (614 yards and six touchdowns), Broadus (555 yards and eight touchdowns), Forrester (461 yards and nine touchdowns), Richardson (390 yards) and Friar (188 yards and five touchdowns). Defensively, the “Bash Brothers” are battling for Top Dog. J. Pruitt leads the pack with 53 tackles, followed by O. Pruitt (52 tackles), Clark (33 tackles), Friar (24 tackles) and Watkins (21 tackles).
    The Greyhounds have three remaining games this season. Tomorrow night, the Hounds host Rivercrest for the annual Pink Out. Game time 7 pm.
