Tuckerman hurler selected for X-tra Innings Classic

tuckerman bulldog pitcher jake hitt was recently chosen as one of northeast Arkansas’ 22 top juniors and will play in this weekend’s X-tra Innings Classic in Jonesboro. The right-hander is a combined 16-4 with 221 strikeouts in 163 innings and a 2.06 ERA.

Tuckerman pitcher Jake Hitt has been selected to play in the Annual X-tra Innings Juniors Classic in Jonesboro this weekend.
The showcase pits the top 22 juniors from northeast Arkansas against the top 22 juniors from the northwest, southeast and southwest corners of the state.
Hitt was selected after going 7-3 for the Bulldogs this past spring and 9-1 over the summer.  He struck out 221 batters in 163 innings with a combined earned run average of 2.06.
The northeast Arkansas team will be in action Sunday, July 5 at 4 p.m. at Tomlinson-Kell Stadium on the campus of Arkansas State University.  The northeast team will also be in action at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Monday, July 6.
