Kell Motors picks up wins

Newport’s George Kell Motors picked up two important conference victories over Pocahontas Tuesday night sweeping a doubleheader 14-1 and 12-4.
In the opener, Dustin McGee picked up the win as he pitched five innings allowing one run on four hits and struck out five.
The Newport offense was led by Anthony Peel who had three hits and hit a homerun, while McGee had two hits including a homerun.  Edward Pruitt also had two hits.  Jarrod Eddington added a homerun.
In the nightcap, Tyler Roach picked up the victory allowing four runs in five innings while striking out six.
Sam Sutherland, McGee and Peel each had two hits and a homerun.  Coty Hendrix added two hits for Newport.
