On Thursday, Aug. 26, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Arkansas State Police that there was a male subject discovered deceased in the cab of a semi-truck on Hwy 67 North of Swifton.
During the investigation it was determined that at approximately 7:13 p.m. the Arkansas State Police had issued a BOLO (Be On The Look Out) for the vehicle stating that the driver, identified as Jimmy Wayne Toone age 58 of Lonoke, had departed Cabot on the Aug. 25 enroute to St. Charles Mo. and had not been heard from since.
The body of Mr. Toone has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy to determine the cause of death. Sheriff’s authorities do not suspect any foul play and believe it to be medically related.
