The Jackson County Library Book Club meets at 2 o'clock on the fourth Monday of every month at the Jackson County Library and is free and open to anyone interested. In August of each year, book club members look over the list of available books from the Arkansas State Library's Center for the Book. By September, each member of the club submits several book selections that are of interest and would like to read. As a group, the club selects close to 25 books and the final list is sent to the Arkansas Center for the Book. After the list is sent to the Center, the club is sent twelve titles during the year from the list, one for each month of a year.
The book subjects vary and some of the selections have a reader's guide included. The book club is free and open to anyone who loves books, enjoys reading, and likes a good discussion. To join, visit the front desk of the Jackson County Library so that Sally or Ellen can get you started. Remember, the group meets at 2 pm on the fourth Monday of the month at the Jackson County Library at 213 Walnut. The library phone number is 870-523-2952 or visit them on Facebook at Jackson County Library. Happy Reading!
