Bryson Decker passed away July 11, 2018
Bryson Decker of Swifton departed this life on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Jonesboro at the age of 24. He was born August 25, 1993, in Newport, the son of David Anthony Decker and Dena Michelle Elliott Decker.
Bryson was a beloved member of the Tuckerman High School Class of 2012. He currently was attending the TLC Learning Center for Adults in Jonesboro. Bryson enjoyed bowling in the Special Olympics. He greatly enjoyed eating and watching tv and was know for his creative recipes and unique appetite.
Bryson was a devoted member of the New Hope Community Church. He loved being of service to the Lord by loving and encouraging others. Bryson delighted in passing the collection plate every Sunday. He was a prayer warrior and always first in line to pray for others. Bryson was know as the church’s one-man welcome wagon, he met every member in the parking lot and opened the door and greeted them with a hug.
This precious young man will forever be remembered for his big smile, wonderful hugs, and his loving spirit. Bryson was a one of a kind and knowing him was truly a blessing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Decker; Maternal grandfather, David Elliott; and maternal grandmother, Carolyn Limbert.
Bryson is survived by his parents, Anthony and Dena Elliott Decker and two sisters, Lesley Decker and Courtney Decker all of the home. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Virginia Decker, of Swifton and his great-grandmother, Bonnie Stokes, of Blytheville; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, July 13, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the First Assembly of God Church in Swifton, with Rev. Johnnie Owens and Rev. Troy Owens, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Arnold Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Keith Keller, Robby Slagley, James Brock, Steven Owens, Michael Owens, Jeramy Johnson, John McArthur, and Landon Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Brock, Troy Owens, III, and Andrew Nichols.
