Mrs. Marcia Mae (Pridmore) Taylor of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2019, at the age of 83.  She was born February 7, 1936 in Newport, the daughter of Hubert and Ethel (Massey) Pridmore.  On February 27, 1953, Miss Marcia Mae Pridmore married Mr. William Harris “Bill” Taylor, and together they spent 59 years.

            Mrs. Taylor was a 1953 graduate of Newport High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She retired from Newport High School, where she had worked in the accounting office.  Mrs. Taylor enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, camping, and fishing.  Most of all, she loved her family, and the time she spent with them.

            Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, of 59 years, William “Bill” Taylor; two brothers, Billy and Bobby Pridmore; and her parents.

            She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Burton and husband, Steve, of Little Rock, and Karen Malone and husband, Clay, of Newport; four grandchildren, Richard Burton, Jason Burton, Rachael Burton, and Zach Malone; eleven great-grandchildren, Haydn, Davis, Ean, Aven, Hannah, Livian, Cade, Noah, Zari, Zoe, and Bentley; and a lifetime of friends.

            Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, with interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

            Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Burton, Richard Burton, Steve Burton, Clay Malone, Zach Malone, and Scott Sargent.
