David Norton of Pine Bluff and Larry Keen of White Hall had the number one spot at the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas’ Reeling for Meals Bass Tournament held Saturday, April 7, on the Arkansas River at Pine Bluff.

They tipped the scales with their five-fish limit at 18.03 pounds for the 18th annual event, according to a news release. They took home the $2500 cash prize sponsored by BKD, Foster Towing and Simmons Bank.

Floyd Fullerton and Eric Agee, both of White Hall, weighed in a catch of 15.10 pounds to claim second place prize of $1,000, sponsored by Bancorp South and Dew Drop Auto Parts and Trotter Ford.

Third place went to Marc Morany-Rison and Colton Perice-Little Rock with a 14.68-pound weigh-in. Travis Hall-Sheridan landed the Big Bass Lunker weighing 5.88 pounds to claim his $500 prize.

For the fisherman that were not in the top 10 there were cash drawings of $50 and for the youth $20 cash drawings.

“After all the fish were weighed in and polygraphs were officially declared, everyone went up the hill for a catered fish fry by King Kat, Inc. of Carlisle, and M.K. Distributers Inc of Pine Bluff,” the news release said.

All of the proceeds from the tournament benefit the Area Agency programs and services, including Meals on Wheels. The organization provides quality care and affordable services to people across southeast Arkansas.
